## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on the functioning and application of established rights of people travelling by air. The amendments target gaps in Member States' enforcement of Regulations 261/2004 and 1107/2006, the role of National Enforcement Bodies, dissuasive penalties, information to passengers, clarifying 'extraordinary circumstances' and other recurring terms, incorporating recent Court of Justice case-law, unfair contract terms and fees, and integrating passenger rights across transport modes.
