## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report reviewing the 6th Environment Action Programme and setting priorities for the 7th. Amendments assess the 6th EAP's mixed progress on climate change, air, water, waste, biodiversity and the environmental acquis, and shape the 7th EAP around targets for 2020 and a 2050 vision, alignment with the Multiannual Financial Framework, the precautionary principle, greenhouse-gas reduction, energy efficiency and savings, and the link between environment and chronic disease.
