## What the amendments focus on

This dossier concerns optimising the role of territorial development in cohesion policy. The amendments address employment and social policies and regional disparities, the Europe 2020 goals on employment, education and poverty reduction, the European Social Fund and ERDF, multilevel governance and subsidiarity, the NUTS 2 level, microregional poverty, indicators beyond GDP per inhabitant, partnership contracts and operational programmes, training and capacity-building, and rural and metropolitan needs.
