## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns financial rules applicable to the general budget of the Union as regards the financing of European political parties. The amendments address contributions reimbursing operating costs linked to parties' objectives, the prohibition on personal advantage and funding of third parties, transparency and equal treatment, co-financing rates, financing of European Parliament election and referendum campaigns, annual reporting linked to the discharge procedure, and penalties.
