## What the amendments focus on

The dossier establishes the General Union Environment Action Programme to 2020 (7th Environment Action Programme). Amendments address greenhouse gas emission and renewable energy targets, biodiversity and ecosystem restoration, soil quality and subsidiarity, a resource-efficient low-carbon and circular economy, the waste hierarchy, nitrogen and phosphorus from agriculture, marine environment, and strengthening the knowledge and evidence base for environment policy.
