## What the amendments focus on

A proposal on the exercise of the Union's rights for the application and enforcement of international trade rules. Amendments address instruments to safeguard the Union's economic interests against third-country trade-restrictive measures, WTO and other dispute settlement mechanisms, suspension or rebalancing of concessions, possible extension to services and intellectual property, relief to affected economic operators, public procurement exclusions, the Commission's information of the European Parliament, and advisory versus examination procedures.
