## What the amendments focus on

Own-initiative report on the implementation of the Consumer Credit Directive 2008/48/EC. Amendments call for financial institutions to give consumers clear, personalised and timely information on the risks of foreign currency lending, warnings about unsuitable credit, separate and independent financial advisory services, foreign exchange hedging facilities, trigger amounts, and revision of provisions on the Annual Percentage Rate of Charge.
