## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative dossier concerns information and consultation of workers and the anticipation and management of restructuring. The amendments stress cooperation between companies, workers' representatives, public authorities and other stakeholders based on timely information and consultation, anticipation through skills development, support for business transfers including to employees as cooperatives, and recommend the Commission adopt a Code of Practice on informing and consulting workers in the event of restructuring.
