# Situation of unaccompanied minors in the EU

## What the amendments focus on

This dossier concerns the situation of unaccompanied minors in the EU. The amendments stress the best interests of the child, the protection gap in reception and assistance, guardianship, combating trafficking in human beings and irregular immigration, EU funding, cooperation between countries of origin, transit and destination on family tracing and return, data collection involving Frontex and Europol, and age-determination methods.
