## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on promoting a European transport-technology strategy for Europe's future sustainable mobility. The amendments stress research and innovation (including Horizon 2020), reduction of energy consumption, noise, air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions, road safety, technology neutrality, internalisation of external costs and 'user pays', interconnections and interoperability between transport modes, and involvement of local and regional authorities.
