# Online gambling in the internal market

## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on online gambling in the internal market. The amendments stress the subsidiarity principle and Member States' right to regulate online gambling according to their own values and objectives of general interest, cite Court of Justice of the European Union case-law and consumer protection, and address risks of addiction, fraud, money-laundering and match-fixing, referencing the Nicosia Declaration and existing EU secondary legislation.
