## What the amendments focus on

This recast codecision file concerns interoperability of the rail system within the EU (4th Railway Package). One amendment rejects the Commission proposal; others revise recitals and provisions on technical specifications for interoperability (TSIs), subsystems, vehicle authorisation and the role of the Agency and national safety authorities, accessibility for persons with disabilities under the UN Convention, track-gauge questions, and the scope exclusion of metros, trams and local, urban or suburban networks.
