## What the amendments focus on

This regulation amends certain fisheries and animal-health regulations because of the change of Mayotte's status, from an overseas country or territory to an outermost region, with regard to the Union. Amendments set transitional derogations for France regarding the registration of small fishing vessels operating from Mayotte, restrict purse-seine fishing on tuna near the island, and adapt control, conservation and animal-by-products rules to Mayotte's new status.
