## What the amendments focus on

A regulation on European long-term investment funds (ELTIFs). The amendments define eligible long-term, illiquid assets and portfolio composition, redemption rights and the life of the fund, target retail and institutional investors including pension administrators and insurance companies, address investor protection and uniform rules across the internal market, and link the instrument to sustainable, smart and inclusive growth, SMEs and infrastructure financing.
