## What the amendments focus on

Dossier designating 2015 as the European Year for Development. Amendments revise recitals on development aid and human development, policy coherence for development, the Millennium Goals and the commitment to fight poverty by 2015, popular and political support, coordination between partners, Member States' responsibility for awareness, and objectives to inform and engage EU citizens, including informed purchasing decisions; the motto of the Year is also addressed.
