# EU Solidarity Fund: technical adjustments

## What the amendments focus on

This legislative proposal makes technical adjustments to the EU Solidarity Fund. The amendments revise the definitions and damage thresholds for major and regional natural disasters by reference to gross national income and regional GDP at NUTS levels, give special attention to the outermost regions under Article 349 of the Treaty, address advances and eligible operations, and extend the Fund to slow-onset disasters such as droughts and floods amid climate change.
