## What the amendments focus on

A legislative dossier on seafarers. The amendments, reflecting an agreement reached by European social partners, address the exclusion of seafarers from certain labour directives, equal treatment regardless of registration or flag, the right to safe workplaces and decent working conditions, the Maritime Labour Convention of 2006, internet communications on board, transfers of seagoing vessels and collective redundancies, and the importance of the maritime and 'blue' economy.
