## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns unleashing the potential of cloud computing in Europe. The amendments address the benefits and risks of cloud services, the lock-in effect and standardisation, data protection and security including governmental access and the PRISM scandal, broadband infrastructure and rural areas, public procurement, energy consumption of data centres, and the role of ENISA.
