## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report is the annual report on EU competition policy. The amendments address State aid to banks and the single market, the role of competition policy against fragmentation and barriers, SMEs, the EU unitary patent and intellectual property, electronic and mobile payments, and Parliament's role and co-decision powers under the Treaty.
