## What the amendments focus on

The dossier addresses EU foreign policy in a world of cultural and religious differences. Amendments affirm that the EU's external relations should be based on human rights, democracy, the rule of law and human dignity, address cultural and religious diversity, tolerance and reconciliation, the combating of extremism and terrorism, and include contested references to blasphemy, apostasy and the persecution of Christians.
