## What the amendments focus on

Discharge for the 2012 implementation of the European External Action Service section of the EU general budget. Amendments address the large number of high-grade posts in the EEAS, geographical and gender balance including in heads of delegation, management of administrative expenditure in EU delegations, savings and synergies with the Commission, the proportion of national diplomats among staff, and the unclear responsibilities and budget of the EU Special Representatives.
