## What the amendments focus on

A discharge decision on the 2012 budget of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). The amendments alternate between granting, postponing and approving discharge and the closure of accounts, note the Union contribution to the Authority's budget, raise serious concern over budget transfers, recruitment transparency and conflict-of-interest management, reference a Court of Auditors special report and revised ethics guidelines with EBA and EIOPA, and call for accessible communication of results.
