## What the amendments focus on

A proposal on personal protective equipment. Amendments address health and safety as a fundamental right, replacing the existing Directive with a Regulation, product scope and conformity assessment by category, responsibilities of economic operators and traceability in the supply chain, market surveillance, CE marking, EU type-examination certificates, penalties, links to workplace use of PPE, undeclared and domestic work, and training.
