## What the amendments focus on

A legislative file on technical measures for fishing in the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) Agreement area. The amendments transpose GFCM measures for the sustainable exploitation of red coral, prohibit trawl nets and restrict red coral harvesting below certain depths subject to scientific opinion, limit permitted gear to a hand-held hammer used by licensed professional fishermen, and empower the Commission to adopt delegated acts granting derogations.
