## What the amendments focus on

This dossier is the 2013 discharge for the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). The amendments alternate between granting and postponing discharge and closure of the accounts, and revise points on ESMA's role in a common supervisory regime across the Single Market, its mixed financing arrangement and threats to independence, late payments noted by the Court, consumer protection, staffing and resources, and sticking to its legislative mandate.
