## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report comments on the European Central Bank's 2013 annual report. The amendments revise recitals citing euro-area forecasts on GDP, unemployment and inflation — including the risk of deflation — together with the Eurosystem balance sheet, the OMT programme, contracting credit to the private sector, the high borrowing costs and financial fragmentation faced by SMEs, and the divergence in conditions among Member States.
