## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns verification of credentials of Members. Amendments delete several provisions, ask the Commission to check national requirements such as oaths of fidelity against the 1976 Act and the Statute for Members, call on Member States to simplify registration formalities for non-national EU citizens voting or standing as candidates, and append lists of Members by Member State with their mandates.
