## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns safer healthcare in Europe, improving patient safety and fighting antimicrobial resistance. The amendments address adverse events and adverse drug events, healthcare-associated infections, the impact of the economic crisis on healthcare budgets and staffing, continuous training of healthcare professionals, vaccination, eHealth and home-care, the One Health approach, patient and family involvement, and the misuse and excessive use of antimicrobials including antibiotics.
