## What the amendments focus on

This dossier is the follow-up to the European citizens' initiative Right2Water. The amendments assert access to safe drinking water and sanitation as a human right recognised by the UN, citing figures on people lacking water and sanitation, and address the impact on women and girls, water in developing countries, sustainable groundwater management, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the view that water is not a mere commodity.
