## What the amendments focus on

The dossier amends the regulation on conditions for placing seal products on the market. The amendments concern the exemption for hunts conducted by Inuit and other indigenous communities, conditions on animal welfare, subsistence and non-commercial purpose, prohibition during reproduction periods, the marine-resources management exception, impact assessments of social, economic and cultural effects, and references to the WTO Appellate Body reports and the GATT.
