## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns contracts for the online and other distance sales of goods. Amendments revise recitals and provisions on consumer protection, harmonisation of national contract law, e-commerce and the Digital Single Market, the burden of proof for lack of conformity, commercial guarantees, the definition of 'producer', remedies, repair or replacement deadlines, and the scope as regards distance and face-to-face sales, public auctions and embedded digital content.
