## What the amendments focus on

This dossier concerns the sustainable management of external fishing fleets. Amendments revise recitals invoking UNCLOS, the FAO and its plans against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, the Common Fisheries Policy and the 2030 Agenda, set the principle that Union vessels fishing outside Union waters be authorised and monitored by their flag Member State, and address high-seas and chartering authorisations, surplus catch, and large vessels depleting fish stocks in foreign waters.
