## What the amendments focus on

A legislative proposal on cooperation of the European Maritime Safety Agency on coastguard functions. Amendments provide for cooperation with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency and the European Fisheries Control Agency through information exchange, technical support, equipment, training and multipurpose operations, subject to Commission supervision and respect for human rights, asylum and migration obligations and IMO/UNHCR guidelines on people rescued at sea.
