# Towards a new energy market design

## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report addresses moving towards a new energy market design. The amendments add references to the Paris Agreement (COP 21), Commission communications on the Energy Roadmap 2050 and energy consumers, directives on unfair commercial practices and consumer rights, and prior Parliament resolutions, and stress efficiency, security of supply and affordable, transparent prices in transforming the electricity market.
