## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on the fight against trafficking in human beings in the EU's external relations. The amendments revise recitals defining trafficking via the UN Palermo Protocol, citing forced labour and slavery figures from the ILO, UNODC and the Global Slavery Index, the disproportionate share of women and girls among victims, links to organised crime, drugs and arms trafficking and money laundering, and drivers such as poverty and conflict.
