## What the amendments focus on

The dossier amends the Schengen Borders Code regarding use of the Entry/Exit System (EES). The amendments cover registering entry, exit and refusal-of-entry data of third-country nationals, replacing passport stamping with electronic recording, the 90-day-in-180 stay calculation, the use of automated border control, self-service kiosks and e-gates, national facilitation programmes, and verification of facial images and chip data; several reject or call for withdrawal of the Commission proposal.
