## What the amendments focus on

This dossier sets controls on cash entering or leaving the Union. The amendments address the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, the role of customs as competent authorities, the definition of cash including currency, bearer-negotiable instruments, prepaid cards and highly liquid commodities, the EUR 10 000 declaration threshold and disclosure for unaccompanied cash, transmission of information to Financial Intelligence Units, and temporary seizure; one amendment rejects the proposal.
