## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report reviews progress on renewable energy in the EU. Amendments stress reaching the 2020 targets and the Paris Agreement goals, binding national targets, energy efficiency, reducing import dependency and energy poverty, energy sovereignty, public participation and the role of SMEs, citizens and social partners in developing renewable energy.
