## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns the EU action plan against wildlife trafficking. Amendments link biodiversity protection to rural livelihoods and poverty reduction, frame wildlife and forest crime as transnational organised crime requiring stronger investigation, prosecution and CITES implementation, support the B4Life initiative funded via the European Development Fund and Development Cooperation Instrument, and call for cooperation among supply, transit and demand countries and bodies such as INTERPOL and UNODC.
