## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns promoting gender equality in mental health and clinical research. The amendments address gender discrimination in health research in developing countries, women's mental health, poverty-related and neglected diseases, inclusion of women and pregnant women in clinical trials, investment in global health research and development, the offshoring of medicine testing to Africa and related ethical concerns, and obligations of pharmaceutical companies.
