## What the amendments focus on

This annual report covers the financial activities of the European Investment Bank (EIB). The amendments call on the EIB to align operations with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, human rights and development effectiveness, improve transparency over financial intermediaries located in tax havens, assess projects against social, gender and environmental criteria, report jobs created rather than only sustained, support SMEs and microfinance, and apply due diligence on beneficial ownership.
