## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on the fundamental rights implications of big data covering privacy, data protection, non-discrimination, security and law enforcement. The amendments define big data and big data analytics, address automatic processing by algorithms, the training of artificial intelligence on questionable-quality data, use by corporations, governments and the public sector, risks to fundamental rights under the EU Charter, targeted advertising and political campaigns, and the opacity of data processing.
