## What the amendments focus on

The dossier examines the functioning of franchising in the retail sector. The amendments concern uneven application of the Commission block exemption regulation across Member States, franchisor-franchisee relations and unfair contractual terms, competition-law enforcement and the European Competition Network, state aid and tax rulings, cross-border retail and a level playing field in the single market.
