## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on the 2016 Commission report on the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The amendments address early parliamentary elections and turnout, the Pržino Agreement, political polarisation and backsliding, state capture, and reform of the judiciary, public administration and media, with several amendments altering how the country's name is referenced and noting the name issue with Greece in relation to opening accession negotiations.
