## What the amendments focus on

This dossier lays down rules for compliance with and enforcement of Union harmonisation legislation on products. The amendments adjust the scope to cover harmonised and non-harmonised products including those offered online, address Internet of Things and AI-enabled devices, strengthen market surveillance authorities' powers and cooperation with economic operators, define non-compliance, formal non-compliance and serious risk, invoke the precautionary principle, and provide for Union testing facilities and penalties.
