## What the amendments focus on

This legislative-initiative report addresses cross-border restitution claims of works of art and cultural goods looted in armed conflicts and wars. The amendments call for systematic provenance research and due diligence to combat looting and smuggling, common standards and databases with standardised object IDs and transaction registers, training for experts, regulation of art dealers, and reference looting during World War II and the conflicts in Syria and Iraq.
