## What the amendments focus on

The dossier examines the current situation and future prospects for the sheep and goat sectors in the EU. The amendments revise recitals on these low-profit farming sectors' incomes, ageing farmers and labour, animal welfare and protection standards, the goatmeat market, the Q fever epidemic on Dutch goat farms and associated health risks, and the sectors' role in environmental sustainability and disadvantaged areas.
