## What the amendments focus on

The dossier reviews the Framework Agreement on relations between the European Parliament and the European Commission. Amendments debate draft amendments allowing Commissioners to stand in European Parliament elections without resigning, the resulting conflict of interest and the Commission's independence under the Treaties, safeguards on confidentiality and use of resources, and the Spitzenkandidaten lead-candidate process for electing the Commission President.
