## What the amendments focus on

The own-initiative report reviews implementation of Directive 2009/128/EC on the sustainable use of pesticides. The amendments stress reducing the risks and impacts of pesticide use on human and animal health and the environment, promoting Integrated Pest Management and full implementation of the directive towards a sustainable agricultural sector; they also reference plant protection products, water policy, approval of active substances, and a citizens' initiative on glyphosate.
