## What the amendments focus on

A proposal recasting the regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POPs). The amendments address coherence with the Convention, Protocol and Rotterdam Convention, stricter rules on stockpiles, reduction of unintentional POP releases, closed-system site-limited intermediates and feasible alternatives, information exchange, technical assistance to developing countries, inventories and contaminated sites, public access to environmental and health information, delegated acts, committee procedures, and substance exemptions including PCBs.
